BRAINCANDY WOODCRAFT LLC - PRIVACY POLICY
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains the data practices of the BRAINCANDY WOODCRAFT Android application for users in the United States.
3. Information collected
The app does not automatically collect personal information. If you choose to use local checkout, custom Project Briefs, Material Boards, or support-note features, you may enter or create information such as a name, email address, phone number, postal address, project dimensions, project notes, room preference, wood and finish selections, budget band, order preferences, and locally saved design directions.
4. Information not collected
The app does not access precise or approximate device location, camera, microphone, contacts, SMS, call logs, photos, media library, files, Bluetooth, nearby devices, biometrics, advertising identifiers, or push-notification permission.
5. Local data storage
Cart items, favorites, compare selections, recently viewed product IDs, Material Boards, orders, Project Briefs, notification read state, onboarding state, room preference, accessibility preferences, care-note preference, and support notes are stored locally using Android SharedPreferences. This data remains in app-local storage unless it is removed by an available in-app action, app storage is cleared, or the app is uninstalled. Android application backup is disabled for this build.
6. User-submitted information
Checkout and Project Brief forms are functional local workflows. This offline app build does not transmit saved orders or Project Briefs to BRAINCANDY WOODCRAFT LLC or to a remote server. Material Studio and Room Fit Planner also run locally. Users should not enter unnecessary sensitive information.
7. Permissions
The application requests no dangerous or runtime permissions. It does not declare the Android INTERNET permission.
8. Internet access
The core app does not use internet access. Bundled furniture imagery is stored inside the app. When a user explicitly taps Open email app, Android can open a separate installed mail application with the support email pre-addressed. The Braincandy app itself does not send that email.
9. Third-party services
No advertising SDK, analytics SDK, cloud database, social SDK, payment SDK, or online payment gateway is integrated in this build. External email applications and email providers are separate services controlled by the user.
10. Image and content sources
Furniture images are bundled app assets. Source and license information is included in IMAGE_SOURCES.txt in the project. The app does not fetch those images remotely at runtime.
11. Data sharing
The app does not sell, rent, or automatically transmit locally stored app data to advertisers, data brokers, BRAINCANDY WOODCRAFT LLC, or a server. No automatic server-side data sharing is implemented.
12. Data retention
Local data remains until it is changed or removed through an available in-app action, app storage is cleared, or the app is uninstalled.
13. Data deletion
Users can remove cart items, favorites, compare selections, recent-view history, and Material Boards in the app. Eligible local orders and Project Briefs can be cancelled. To remove all locally stored app data, clear the app's storage in Android settings or uninstall the app.
14. Security
Because the app stores workflow data locally, device-level security such as a screen lock helps protect access. Users should avoid entering sensitive information that is not necessary for furniture ordering or project planning.
15. Children's privacy
The app is a general furniture and woodcraft shopping/planning experience and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect children's data through a backend because no backend is included.
16. User choices
Users can browse without an account, choose whether to enter personal details, save or delete optional material-planning data, control certain local preferences, clear local comparison and recent-view state, and decide whether to open an external email application.
17. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app's functionality or data practices change. The effective date will be revised when material changes are made.
